Irish Manufacturing Research Launches ‘Ideas Made Real’ STEM Initiative for Midlands

Irish Manufacturing Research, situated in Mullingar, has introduced a STEM initiative for the Midlands known as “Ideas Made Real.” This initiative is guided by the motto “empowering the creators of tomorrow,” with the primary goal of reshaping the younger generation’s perspectives on innovation, education, and self-empowerment.

Scheduled to commence in the 2023-2024 academic year, the program will initiate with a pilot phase involving six schools, including local educational institutions such as Loreto College, St. Finians College, and Coláiste Mhuire. As part of their future plans, they aim to expand their collaborative efforts with educational institutions, technology companies, and research organizations in the coming months, thereby broadening their influence and resources.

Decotek Automotive is the program’s generous sponsor, and it has strategically partnered with Fastrack into Information Technology (FIT) and the Engineering Technology Teachers’ Association (ETTA).
