CEDPO held its first in person board meeting of the post COVID pandemic era. The objectives of the meeting were to discuss the current European data protection legislative landscape and define common priorities and objectives for the CEDPO work program of 2022-2023.
The Confederation of European Data Protection Organisations (CEDPO), founded in September 2011, aims to promote the role of the Data Protection Officer, to provide advice on balanced, practicable, and effective data protection and to contribute to a better harmonisation of data protection law and practices in the EU/EEA. ADPO (The Association of Data Protection Officers) of Ireland has been a member association of CEDPO since 2014 with Chairman Fintan Swanton and committee member Jared Browne currently representing the association.
