European Innovation Council Tech to Market Programme

The European Innovation Council has launched its Tech to Market (T2M) Programme,that is looking for entrepreneurs in residence to team up with researchers who want to transform their research into deep-tech startups. During this 6-month part-time residence entrepreneurs will get the opportunity to be part of the Tech to Market due diligence and undertake the business ideation and validation process, supported by mentors, specialists and industry key opinion leaders, while co-creating a venture and will:

  • Get to know the most innovative technologies being developed in Europe.
  • Co-create in a new disruptive deep-tech venture, backed by reputable Research Centers or Universities.
  • Access and receive guidance from an extensive community of experts, investors, and industrial partners.
  • Become eligible to join the founding team after the entrepreneurial residence.

Entrepreneurs in Residence will: 

  • Co-create the vision and purpose for the company with the scientific team.
  • Explore and validate potential use cases for the technology based on research and market needs
  • Identify potential niche markets Define potential business models
  • Lead the business approach to potential clients and partners
  • Design and look for the first pilots
  • Build a trustful relationship with your potential cofounders and attract the best talent for the project.
  • Manage the relationship with shareholders.

Candidate Profile 

The ideal candidate is a serial entrepreneur who is fundamentally excited and motivated by the opportunity to build cutting-edge deep tech companies. In addition, a know-how in the technological arena is essential, particularly in at least one of the thematic areas below:

  • Architecture engineering construction technologies
  • Energy systems and green technologies
  • Food chain technologies, novel and sustainable food
  • Health and biotechnology
  • Medical technologies and medical devices
  • Quantum tech and electronics
  • Space systems and technologies
