Data Protection Guidance Paper and Event

The Association of Data Protection Officers (ADPO) Committee have recently created a new guidance paper – ‘Data Protection by Design – Making it Effective’. The paper provides advice and examples of how organisations can practically integrate the principles of data protection by design into their data protection programmes, as well as how they can demonstrate the effectiveness of the adopted measures.
To mark the launch of this new guidance paper, ADPO would like to invite you to a panel discussion. With a mixture of participants from the business and academic worlds, bringing diverse practical and theoretical perspectives, the panel discussion will look at how data protection by design, a core area of the GDPR, can be lifted from the pages of the GDPR and successfully applied in a concrete, organisational context. The expert panel will consist of:
Audrey Barrett, Data Protection Officer at SIPTU
Jared Browne, Group Head of Data Privacy at Fexco
Edoardo Celeste, Assistant Professor in Law, Technology and Innovation at the School of Law and Government of DCU
Tom Gilligan, Data Protection & Privacy Consultant at ISAS
You can find the guidance paper and book your place onto the panel discussion – and add to your CPD points – here .
