Scratch Coding Competition 2021 – Volunteer as a Judge

Would you like the opportunity to meet some of Ireland’s inspiring students?
All you need to do is volunteer to be a JUDGE!
We are seeking members to volunteer as judges for the National Scratch Competition 2021.
The National Scratch Competition, run by the Irish Computer Society and sponsored by Lero (The Irish Software Research Centre), aims to raise student’s interest in software development and related career opportunities, by providing a better understanding of how software is built and works.
Scratch is a programming language that makes it easy and fun for students to create their own interactive stories, animations, games, music, and art.
Entries are currently open for students to participate around the country, with Finalists invited to the National Finals of the Scratch Competition to be held online in April during Tech Week. Judges will be needed to review projects such as Games and Animations for all age categories, from Junior Infants to 6th Year students.
Judging will take place remotely between the weeks of the 10th – 26th March and volunteers will be required to judge 15 entries picking the top three. The rules and judging matrix are freely available on the site here.
If you would like to volunteer, please contact us by email on info@techweek.ie.
