ICS Web Accessibility Autumn 2022 Series

Why is accessibility important? What can I do about it? The ICS in partnership with the Centre for Excellence in Universal Design at the National Disability Authority is offering a series of information and training webinars, to help public bodies and other organisations understand how small decisions have an impact on peoples’ ability to access, understand and use digital content and services. Everyone has a part to play, from project managers to web developers, from internal staff to external web agencies.

Over 5 remote events, we will explore accessibility choices, universal design and inclusion. We will consider the basics of digital accessibility and learn how to use accessibility data to improve compliance with the EU Web Accessibility Directive.  We will look at creating accessible videos and involving real people in the design and testing of websites and mobile apps.  These events are designed to assist public bodies and digital agencies in making websites and mobile apps accessible to comply with the EU Web Accessibility Directive. Events are free to attend and no prior accessibility knowledge is required. Events are open both ICS members and non-members.
